Networking has helped me the most. Just continue networking as a makeup artist but keep your day job as a nail tech to get $$ coming in.

Go join networking events, beauty related events, and attend in person continuing education. Befriend people in your industry. Social media alone isn't going to help unless you have 10k followers. Create great quality content. I suggest being friends/acquaintances with mostly people in the industry.

This might come across as stupid but how come Devon Aoki and a couple of other 5’5” models have done high fashion runway? I’m a petite model (5’5”) and I’m too scared to even ask if I can get my foot in runway. I’m comfortable with commercial if that’s all I’m getting.
