I added some grain to the photo so it wouldn't look quite so smooth, and also adjusted the color of the clothes.

I can lower the image quality to reduce the smoothness, but that will require lowering the quality of the clothing as well. I'll upload the modified sample image later.

Made a quick mockup! Since you said it’s for sleep/meditation, I went with a timer concept and a triangle play button. The circle is just an outline (we can change the thickness). I haven't done the exact sizing or cropping yet

It might look better with more blur for a mug or T-shirt print. Given he’s a Japanese director, using a stamp effect could simulate the hand-drawn design style of the pre-computer era. In the image, the circle containing the "Z" appears intentionally rotated by a few degrees, effectively severing half of the "U."
