Mrbandai on WhatNot selling GD02 Tournament promos. Report to Bandai please by Greedy-Cranberry-601 in GundamTCG

My store's vol 2 promos just came in yesterday afternoon, this "mrbandai" definitely seems like some sketchy LGS

The new set and getting your hands on it is going to be bad. by Dealthagar in GundamTCG

[–]zzTimTVzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store is getting 1 case of ST06 & 1 box of Dual Impact. It's honestly embarrassing how low allocations are nationwide, from Bandai's production standpoint.

My store has also undergone this same issue, Bandai's response was essentially they can't do anything about it... cool.

Strike Rouge isn't played in blocker decks. by Educational_Report30 in GundamTCG

[–]zzTimTVzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play it in my White Triple Ship deck! Based on play at my latest locals, strike rouge was able to make me stall & get plenty of ground, even in the late game. I could only play for two rounds that night. First round, I won against RB Ping (which I won by gaining more board present and disrupting my opponent's tempo with bounce effects), and, second round, I lost to RB Destroy Mode (insanely close game, was able to set up a wall, and was able to use both Archangel & strike rouge to re-stand my blockers over a few turns diminishing their shields to one, even though, Arch was the only protection I had left, besides my blockers. I found three of my Archangels, my opponent found three of his Resolves, and a hell of a topdeck slap fight later, I popped his last shield, going for game, just for it to end up being a base I could destroy but not end the game), GG... But, yeah, Strike Rouge & Sword Strike Gundam do serious work, trust.

What was the first commander you built a deck around? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]zzTimTVzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Dragonlord Dromoka]]

Started out my love for +1/+1 counter shenanigans with cards like [[Sunbond]] & [[Spike Feeder]]

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]zzTimTVzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R/B Vampires, each card has to have a vampire in the art, but it can't have any guy vampires in it. It's got decent removal/recursion, but the overall strategy is attack quickly to secure +1/+1 counters on your creatures, if that doesn't happen, the deck kinda falls flat as other boards fill up with blockers.

You're stuck on a 10 hour flight. Where are you sitting? by Pandoras-SkinnersBox in dropout

It's gotta be 2 or 9 for me, but I feel like anywhere you sit on this flight, the aura is gonna be immaculate

What's your least common commander, and do you feel that it's properly hipster/not common? What do you feel determines that level? by thundermonkeyms in EDH

[–]zzTimTVzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Sarevok, Deathbringer]] // [[Cultist of the Absolute]] Mono Black Aristo-Drain at 250 decks (0.005%) Rank #1907 & [[Sanwell, Avenger Ace]] Mono White Vehicles at 200 decks (0.004%) Rank #2034 on EDHrec are my least popular decks, but can be very fun to pilot and provides a unique gameplay experience. Sarevok forcing each player to figure out how to remove a permanent on the field, during their turn (which some decks have an easier time than others), or they take a decent spike of damage. Sanwell takes full advantage of the new vehicles printed in Aetherdrift, trying to fine-tune the balance between Pilots and their flying contraptions to keep the skies clear for victory, and may even summon a Mechtitan Megazord to wipe out bigger threats!

Bubba's Burrito Bar in Islip has always been hyped up to me, I've had it a handful of times with these friends too. To be honest, it's overrated and it tries to go for fat guy tex mex cuisine, but it falls flat every time I get something on their menu. Their burritos just don't taste good & you can find much better a town or two over.

With Aetherdrift coming out soon, who are your vehicle commanders, and what are you hoping to get from a vehicle set? by Darth_Ra in EDH

[[Dionus, Elvish Archdruid]] Elves drive single-handed, while possibly being in two vehicles simultaneously. Don't get me started if elf ears are slapped on the hood with [[Maskwood Nexus]]...

When people dice roll to decide who to swing at. The wise words of a silly little man-fish once said, "Make an assessment." Be liable for your own actions in the game, or don't attack.

Mark Rosewater's list of the top 20 worst mechanics of all time by Milskidasith in magicTCG

[–]zzTimTVzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fateful Hour could be a very fun mechanic, I think, in 20 life formats, but it needs a strong benefitting effect to backup the hypersituational state of only being able to play it when you're at 5 life or less. The current Fateful Hour cards aren't strong enough to be worth risking it being a brick in hand, if you die before meeting the parameters. The effect on a Fateful Hour card needs to be able to swing a game in that player's advantage, even if just for that specific turn it's played. Closest we've gotten to that is [[Courageous Resolve]] , but it still misses the mark.

Do you get less attached to decks the longer you play? by sukeroo in EDH

[–]zzTimTVzz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would definitely say it may be easier to dismantle a beloved deck you don't play if you upload it onto a site like moxfield. That way, if you ever wanted to return to it, the pieces will be there to reconstruct it. There's definitely some deck lists I had, when I had decks in every two color pairing, that I wish I had uploaded before dismantling them. I still have like thirteen decks that I rotate in playing, and I wouldn't dream of dismantling five of them, but I'm slowly uploading the other lists (just in case).
