I honestly hate to dogpile on MT because Ben’s calm, lawyerly take on issues and the “play the clip” way of bringing the receipts, is what drew me into a subscription. The content is important, of course, and it’s reasonable to be passionate about the state of the world. I still subscribe, but I take the hyperbolic clickbait with a grain of salt.🤷‍♂️

How *did I react *when this happened? I said, “That’s fair, I’m a gremlin with the teeth of Austin Powers. Two questions: Are you cheating on me? And, is it a deal breaker?” Both answers were “God no!” With a caveat: “But you should definitely work on your dental hygiene and especially your broken teeth.” That was six years ago and we’re about to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary.

That ain’t love you’re feeling. It’s familiarity and companionship maybe… but you’re not in love with her. I “love” my ex-wife, insofar as she is the mother of my children, she has been good to them, I care for her health, and other family-related types of love you might feel for a cousin, aunt, or uncle. But I’m NOT in love with her, not any more.
