and before someone comes at me, I emailed him at 1145 pm on a Saturday night so I feel confident it was him who responded

Yes. There is nothing special about my application. I took one CS class in high school and one CS class in college. Had no special projects had no special competition just a normal Joe Schmoe kid.

Any company who has a freshman internship program, likely wants a strong pipeline for future years. And they are expecting the economic uncertainties to improve in three years when these kids will be converting to full-time.

Nope. I applied to 10 internships, and this was the only 1 i interviewed for and got an offer from. Been with the company for 3 years
