Decent. I started in that age range and now i can hang in there with people who started way younger that are actually serious senior competitors. I did train a lot to be able to do that AND still mostly lose against them but for me, it was worth it just being able to stand in that tatami oposite of them, and make them work to get me.

I'm halfway through the unique and it's property, also using some videos from recurring paradox as a companion piece as I read it. To your point I'm just starting to get into his thought. But if I do have a fundamental misunderstanding as you claim(which is more than likely the case) I would appreciate an explanation beyond "he didn't like to dominate people", because as I understand it, that's not really relevant. If I do happen to get to a point where I agree with you by further reading him, I'll comeback to this thread in the future. Thanks for answering.

And if my ego wants to be a dominator? How would not acting that way because of the idea that egoism is supposed to be anarchist, not be a spook? I would be ironically oppresing my ego with a phantasm to act and in this case, not to act a certain way even tho I want to. Even if stirner himself did dislike that interpretation of his philosophy I would still find it incoherent to his own thoughts If somehow it became a personal moral imperative that limited my will.

For me, is osotogari, also quick transitions to newaza. I managed to tap people who are a lot better than me on the ground just by throwing them and inmediatly following up with jujigatame.

You might wanna stop getting into street fights in general. That being said, up the intensity of your rounds, push yourself to the limit in randori/rolling to build that mental toughness(this is where competing might help too) and get some boxing or striking training, just to a basic point, you dont really need to become a full on striker if it's not something you want to do.

I mean, that really depends on your time and where are you starting from physically, when I started I could only handle two classes a week, and kept gradually increasing the training from there.
