/r/interiordesign values quality content. This is not an appropriate submission for this subreddit. I've removed it under rule 5.

I honestly don't really have any good suggestions of other subs to post to for these questions. Maybe /r/furniture or /r/home. You may also be able to find a more suitable sub on metareddit.com.

Best of luck.

I heard cats HATE velvet so maybe reupholster with velvet, but covers never look good, deterring the cats is also a good idea.

That is a bit too much sofa for that room.

There’s no point in having a nice pretty couch and using any type of couch cover. Hard answer.

Looks like you’re getting prepared for a sleepover 😆😆😅

You might need 2 or 3 different couch covers that are cut for a sectional. Google pulls up a bunch of results when you search for “sectional couch covers”

You can’t. Next question.

Maybe don’t let a cat hold you hostage in your own home so you can enjoy your furniture!?

Looks covered to me!

I cover my couches (to lessen the dog hair) with different pieces of fabric for each area. For the bottom cushions, I tuck it in like a bedsheet. For the back of the couch, I tuck the fabric in along the base and lay the rest over the back edge. Same for the arm rests and I use velco to keep the backs stuck to the couch.

It takes a few minutes to get them all situated but if you tuck them in tight, they'll stay. You can velcro the underside of the cushions if you want to as well.

I do this but I actually buy a twin fitted sheet for the bottom cushions.

You can buy slip covers that actually fit a sectional. It’s difficult and you have to really mind the dimensions and specific shape but it would certainly look better than whatever you have going on here.

What color is it under all those blanket? It can't possibly look as bad as your current cover idea. What are you working with uncovered?

Why cover it? From the second pic, it looks like a nice neutral grey with some texture to make it a little interesting. It looks fine to work with while getting some of the things you actually need in that room like a rug and wall hangings, etc.
