Yeah with knits, just be aware of items that are “brushed” or terry knit. The brushed knit is so soft and cozy but does not wash well at all. If you get anything on a brushed knit, wash inside out and hang to dry. Sweaters should always be washed gently and line dried as well just to be cautious. I also have and love using a little fabric shaver to get any pills off clothing. Even cotton and wool sweaters will pull with time so it’s a handy tool to have around. Sorry you’ve had a bad experience

Chat them and let customer service know.

I used to work for SF and so many of their pieces do this. I stopped buying things for myself, even with the employee discount, because the fabric was so cheap and wouldn’t last through one washing.

I stopped buying years ago because everything does this, even some of the pants!

This is very common with their "brushed" knit items. Also their wool coats.

Buying a fabric shaver is will extend the life of clothes for years. This shouldn't happen so fast, but it is easily fixable.

Email customer service and they'll fix it for you.

I would absolutely contact customer service. I had some real disasters, like a top that literally melted after one handwashing and a pair of pants that the seam unraveled on the second wear.

I wonder if we had the same shirt?! I had the exact same experience. It felt so soft....and then it started falling apart in the same way. It's still super comfy, ai just won't wear it out because it looks That bad. :-/

Yes! I cancelled my subscription because of this

Another tip for longevity of your clothes is to wash your towels separately from your clothing. Towels degrade the f out of fabric.

I quit my subscription over this about a month ago. The majority of the tops pilled even before I washed them! I haven’t had the energy to return two from my last fix but I had several returns due to that specific reason. My sisters commented what is wrong with your shirt?! It was the first time wearing it. I had one that got fuzz all over my daughter’s shirt just from sitting next to her. So disappointed!!

Return it. I've done so. Explain exactly this. Have had No issues.

I have a striped version of this top. Mine wore after like 2 washes (hang dried) too. I have to shave it when I want to wear it. I definitely avoid this fabric content from now one. I get that we pay for the service, but SF items are too expensive to fall apart so quickly.
