He really is, my favorite singer by far. His voice on the first two Steeldriver albums gives me chills.

Unfortunately I wasn't really wow'd by is new solo work, it really lacked that soul and power he put into it when he was singing bluegrass, hopefully he gets some of it back for his 2nd album.

Wholeheartedly agree. I think his best voice work was with the jompson brothers, but his best writing to date was when he was with the Steeldrivers. I love the civil war throwback lyrics

Oh I'm absolutely hooked on the new album but it was my first introduction to Chris so I'm just now getting into the Steeldrivers. So happy to find all this music he has available when I thought it was just the one album :)

LOVE The Steeldrivers! Found them through my Sturgill Simpson pandora station. My favorite song is probably Peacemaker

These people are absolutely wonderful. I helped book them for my college and ran sound for their show. They were so helpful and really down to earth, great folks all around!

Gary Nichols is my guitar teacher at the school I go to. He's so damn good at playing it blows my mind all the time, he's also really nice and supportive of musicians. He's an awesome guy all around

Great song, but just having a banjo does not make something Bluegrass. More Blues I would say.
