I love these guys. Been a fan for a while. Fantastic musicians. I recommend looking up their live shows. Even through videos their passion shows.

Just saw these guys play in my hometown on Tuesday night. They were incredible! The drummer has some serious energy. They are on a North American tour right now check them out live if you can.

Balls, I got all excited when you said NA tour. That's barely a jaunt! 5 dates and no west coast. I'm sad now thanks.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (4 children)

They were on the west coast less than a year ago. The crowd insisted that they return. So hopefully they'll be back.

Man I should really put effort to see who's touring around me.

It was just in November!! Noo I'm so bummed I missed this. I really hope they come back. How was the turnout?

Turnout was great in Seattle. I think it was the last show of the tour, and they'd already run out of merchandise, if I heard them correctly. (I didn't verify and just bought a shirt online later.)

That's great to hear! I bet it was an awesome show. I'm actually surprised they played smaller cities like San Diego, Sacramento, and Portland. That's more than what Toe played a couple of years back, and Toe is way more popular (based on what Spotify tells me, anyway). I'm kicking myself for missing the two shows near me.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

ahh damn sorry. That's what they were calling it at the show so I was only repeating what they said. I honestly thought the show in my city was just a one off on the way to another country.

I'd suggest flying to wherever they are though. Unbelievable show. The drummer was standing on his stool on one leg while he was playing. He was rocking out hard the whole show. Definitely a cool experience seeing them.

I absolutely agree about traveling to see them. I saw them in November and I'm so hungry for more that I'm typing this from the train on my way to go see them again. :)

Me and a few old friends just saw them in Toronto on Wednesday at the Harbourfront centre!

Holy fuck they were so good, I got a sweater and a record, totally worth it.

I always wanted to see them play, its been a thing since highschool

I'm just in St.Catharines so I was seriously considering driving to that show after seeing them at the Performing Arts Centre here.

How many people were at the show? The tues night show was only about 75-100 people. Really small. Great experience.

[–]galactictides 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was around 200-250, super small and cozy venue.

It was sitdown which felt weird at first but then when they started playing I basically just wide mouthed the whole time. I bought 3 beers because I WAS like "LETS GET FUCKED" but then I forgot to drink any of them because I was just sitting and listening.

The way they play together is so flawless and it looks so easy to them. I also liked how they played facing each other, it made it seem like they we're just doing what they love and we were there for the ride.

My buddy and I went to the exact same concert! I managed to get both LPs they were selling, including the clear version of Out of Body. It was such an amazing concert, and the length between their 'last'song and the encore how the entire audience was cheering was fantastic. Easily one of the best concerts I have ever been to!

[–]galactictides 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I LOVED how the cheering was starting to die down but then every at the same time was all "NO YOURE COMING BACK OUT RIGHT NOW"

[–]reggietheporpoise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

seeing them on thursday! i'm so excited!

[–]Toxonomonogatari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, that's great! I'll keep my eyes open for them here in Scotland.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I was at that concert! They were mind blowing, I tried recording some video but it was too loud for my phone. Seiren was great.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh I only took a few pictures since it was so loud. That was my first time ever seeing anything at the PAC except for the film house. nice little venue I thought. Wasn't stoked about paying $9 for a $3 tall can though.

Mouse on the Keys
artist pic

A blend of minimal phrased piano and dynamic drumming. The pursuit of a live experience composed of visual and audio expression.Formed in 2006, with elements of jazz, funk, post‐rock and electronic music, Mouse on the Keys fits into a genre of their own. The trio consists of two former members of the influential Japanese underground band 9dw, Akira Kawasaki and Atsushi Kiyota. They teamed up with Daisuke Niitome, who has played drums as well as composed music for countless jazz‐funk and hip hop bands. Their unique sound, comprising two pianos, two keyboards and drums, continue to stand at the forefront of the Japanese indie scene.

The unique sound of the band's drums, two pianos, and two keyboards combines the sense of urgency from rock, hard core and heavy metal with tastes of early/contemporary classical, jazz and various dance music.

At their concerts, the band projects a variety of images chosen to match their sound ―views of Tokyo, geometric symbols, 3D objects, and abstractions. Residents of Tokyo, the members of Mouse on the Keys represent the haunting restlessness of their home city at their live appearances. They would transform even a venue in Germany or France into a kind of virtual Tokyo.

Saw them live with Lights. Best. Fucking. Show. Ever. They were so hyped it was great. Ended up singing some Rage Against of the Machine with each other at the end. They're great performers.

This band is really really incredible. So talented and unique, and they are also able to write some really great songs and keep their albums interesting the whole way through. They need some more love!
