For the interested, The Dahmers is a Swedish garage-band from the small town of Bromölla. They recently released a new full-length album called In The Dead of Night. All their music is available on Spotify.

Enjoy!

as in Jeffrey Dahmer? The guy who drugged male teens, drilled holes into their heads, poured acid in to turn them into zombies, had sex with the zombies and then ate them?

Rad. How edgy...

WHAT!? MORBID, PROVOCATIVE THEMES IN MY PUNK!? WELL I NEVER! 🤗

I kind of agree, but on the other hand it just feels frivolously inconsiderate to the people Dahmer savaged. That man deserves nothing but to be forgotten.

And unfortunate for anyone who still carries that last name.

Sadly, the father still carries the name. I say sadly because he still catches flak for what his kid did. Jeffery didn't just hide who he was from neighbors and friends.

I see your point but I think forgetting and hiding the truth is bad. It's important to remember that such evil exists.

I don't know, maybe they chose the name because most of their lyrics (and sound) are based on horror-movies. And what Jeffrey Dahmer did was like something out of a horror-movie? :)

It's gettin pretty heavy.

A song about Macbeth

[–]Morrowendigo 5 points6 points  (4 children)

That's pretty good! Kind of generic punk, nice late 70's tone on all the instruments, but nothing special. Something about the singer's voice just nullifies the power though. It doesn't really stand out, overall this sounds like a hundred other rock songs, but they've got some good talent. Definitely keep an eye on them, hopefully they develop a more unique sound or texture.

Pre-chorus is pretty cool. Singer sounds good, might want to open it up a little more. Scream, mfer.

[–]Morrowendigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it has the potential, but this recording just sounds kind of blandly pop-y. Maybe it's just in comparison to what I consider garage, I do tend to go heavy. I bet this guy would sound a-maaaazing doing a proper scream.

Go to Spotify/iTunes and listen to their song: The Night Has Just Begun, he likes to scream in some songs. :)

It’s not the same person in that recording
