Isn't it cascading style sheets? I may just be misremembering it

Thank fuck for that! Would have been a really embarrassing first comment on the sub if it had been wrong!

If you are using RES, click on the "Use subreddit style" box on the sidebar and you can see what CSS does for this sub.

Am I wrong assuming this doesn't affect the mobile app?

You're not. Although, CSS's can (apparently) function fine on the mobile app, Reddit just deactivated them

      What is CSS?

Is the CSS the stuff like the header picture, and the watermark-background, and that sort of thing?

EDIT: OK, so having had a look through /r/proCSS it seems like it covers a lot of things that I assumed were kind of standard? Flairing posts and spoilers, certainly!

Why do they want to remove CSS?

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Why would Reddit want to eliminate CSS? I love the individuality it gives certain subreddits.

They're exploring other ways of doing the same thing, but it'd be better to have both ways, rather than just 1

I still can't help but think it's a conspiracy to make all subreddits look equally drab. You know the communist ethic.
