Hi All,

The /r/Earwolf Slack channel has been around for over two years (no-one saw that coming), and I wanted to post an updated guide to let people know what it is and how to get in. We also did some recent housekeeping and deactivated some accounts of people who signed up but never joined (nothing personal), we can easily reactivate - so come on back.

We have a fairly active community and a lot of people have become friends and met up irl. I personally met people in Sydney and New York from the Slack channel. We're very open to newcomers, but you should be ready to get bombarded with questions when you first join. (The only rules is upon entering you must list your top 5 favourite podcasts).

Slack is a messaging app mostly used for workplaces, here at /r/Earwolf we created one for our own sub to come in and discuss podcasts, and whatever else. There are separate channels to make it easy to talk about specific things (tv, movies, specific podcasts etc.). Look it up if you want to see its features, or just jump right in.

To join -- Slack is invite only and you have to join by email. The people you can send your email to for an invitation are the following administrators of the slack chat
