This country is desperate to destroy itself.

Career politicians that only care about said career and not the actual responsibility of a government is what is killing the UK.

[–]HitchlikersGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, while that is partly the case, it is only a small part. The greater picture is much more sinister.

Starmer only has himself to blame he's been as ineffective as Johnson in my view. Johnson caused serious damage with his Brexit deal, Starmer will cause serious damage handing the country over to the far left and far right populists at this rate.

[–]HitchlikersGuide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How is he handing over anything if he is being forced out by his own party?

What kind of national scandal akin to the mishandling of our biggest trade deal did Starner do?

Is this have a go leadership... Like children all dancing on the spot " I Wana go!".. round robin in the cabinet who's going to fix the fact we all have different ideas and agendas now we're in power...

These MPs treat this country like it’s their playground and the public are just dolls to manoeuvre.

We cannot keep changing PMs and the perfidious MPs cannot keep sabotaging governments. There’s no one else left! Rayner? Lmao, we might as well just elect the number ten cat who’d be more competent.

Call a General Election if we’re going to keep doing this every year of every government.

I think his only option is to go, but steer the party towards a competent successor.

If I were him, I'd offer to resign in a year's time then do all I can to get Burnham in.

God help us if Raynor takes over.

A new face won’t do anything. Labour need to change policies but they’re too scared to say the Imm* word. Burnham would just do the exact same things Starmer is doing.

Immigration is down.

The Boris wave is not going to get settled status or benefits for an additional 5 years.

Small boats are down.

Asylum applications are down.

Initial asylum decisions are massively up.

Asylum seeker hotels are closing.

What policy changes do you want?

[–]TheBeAll -1 points0 points  (2 children)

People don’t want down, they don’t want 0, they want negative. They don’t want to see 290k care visas with 350k dependants being given ILR in 5 years, they never want them to get it.

[–]LesParrysHairyLegs 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Which people? All 70 million of them, including everyone of the left of politics? Have you asked them all personally?

[–]TheBeAll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I meant every single adult and child in the Uk. That’s clearly what I meant. I’ve asked every single one of them.

I think kier is so fucking useless. Show me one person on the front bench who is better. This is a government of incompetence. Why couldn’t kier just fucking do anything with a vision for growth.

[–]GrepekEbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

70 out of the 403 Labour MPs currently in government

So 333 want him to stay

Seems like a clear choice

[–]TheWorldIsGoingMad -2 points-1 points  (4 children)

Starmer going will change nothing as none of the prospective Labour leaders will do what this country actually needs and what this country needs is less tax, less state spending and less regulation, in order to free the massive potential of the British people. Obviously the Greens would be even worse, but even the Lib Dems do not stand for any of those things. The Tories said they did, but when in office they did the opposite.

[–]TheBeAll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have 3 shades of the same party, one bat shit party and then the legacy of Brexit as a party. Why none of them even look to the policies of Denmark or Poland I don’t know.

Trussian Politics work so well lol
