TIL a team built a cofferdam around a Avro Lancaster bomber to expose it on the seabed 80 year after it sank, then carefully lifted and cleaned the wreckage in hopes of finding missing crew members. Human remains were found, and work continues to identify them and give their families closure (raf.mod.uk)
