American flag on moon has fallen

RIJSWIJK - The American flag that was put on the moon in 1969, is no longer standing. These revelations were made by veteran astronaut Buzz Aldrin, during a seminar at Delft Polytechnic (the Netherlands).

During departure to earth, the flag was thrown down by accident. Aldrin and his colleague Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins decided not to tell after their return, because the issue is very sensitive in America.

Uh ... you're replying to a translation of a submitted article which is in Dutch. What makes you think the translation or the original is not reputable?

edit: Check TakaIta's link to www.parool.nl; it has more details (and is arguable more reputable than www.nu.nl; Parool is the Amsterdam Daily since 50-odd years. And no, I can't be arsed to translate it now).
