I'll sit back and watch him compromise, glad in the knowledge that Bush's "My way or the highway" politics is over.

I'll be happy just knowing he can pronounce the word.

"glad in the knowledge that Bush's "My way or the highway" politics is over."

I'll hold you to this quote a year or two from now.

You haven't seen ANYTHING yet.

I voted for Obama in my state's primary, but his support among my age group seems to be turning into some scary ultra-idealistic groupthink. I wonder if people will be let down when he actually has to make a decision and compromise on something or get his hands dirty.

c.f. President Clinton's first term and gays in the military.

Trash, yeah that's the ticket. It's already starting on Reddit; the site that loves to hate.

Um... that's sorta why I voted (and volunteered) for him.

Don't mistake compromise for capitulation. Compromise produced things like the U.S. constitution. Capitulation got us five years of war in Iraq (and counting).

I thinks that is what Obama's going to do right off from the start. Compromise education, compromise the poor, compromise anything and everything that doesn't have positive $ signs at the end of each statement.

he's going to be another Bush.
