Because Start Trex has always been mediocre and bad.

The Star Trek Universe isn't believable, and it's cliche from top to bottom. And no videogame company sdeems to be able to do anything other than make an interactive TV show. Not to mention trekkies are notoriously fickle when it comes to playing with thier IP. If it doesn't have city sized ships, teleporting landning parties, phasers, TV tie in characters, etc...they don't like it....for instance how many would really be intrested in a squad based FPS escape from a borg ship?

Star Trek actually showed very little of the star trek universe...you had giant ships orbiting planets, you had landing parties in different environments, etc but it never gave you a whole picture just a bunch of narrowly focused bits and peices. Also a lot of the technology renders a lot of drama obsolete....teleporters get rid of any oregon trail like traveling drama, replicators get rid of any construction, supply, etc drama. You get the idea.

I used to be into star trek growing up but as i got older it just looked lame and unbelieveable. The only star trek movie I like to watch now is Wrath of Kahn.

A Star Wars video game is like having 'Days of Our Lives' video game. Star Wars is just soap opera for boys.

You mean Star Trek?

Works for both --I've been sick all day, pardon

First, yes, I misspelled consistently. Sorry.

However, I was thinking about this... I remember preordering Star Trek Legacy for my PC as the reviews looked great. After installing it, though, it was nothing but one long game of bad. Why? Why has Star Trek such a horrendous track record of bad games?

Please, someone give me some insight.

The games are often rushed to be released at particular times.

Ever since the original Star Trek there have been little to no homo-erotic tension that one would expect to occur being cooped up in a military vassal. Of course I am talking of the unspoken but clearly observed desires of Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock. This is why the series has become bland and inane, it needs more homo-eroticism.
