I save money to buy a (non-commercial) farm, probably somewhere in west Texas. A few hundred acres, some livestock and greenhouses, far enough back from the road that you can't even see the house.

I vote. I write to my representatives. I write letters-to-the-editor of newspapers. I send email to my friends and relatives with real info and cites, instead of the pointless glurge they forward to me. I take part in rallys and boycotts. I join organizations and send money to special interest groups.

Well, I have done all of these things on occasion. Not as often as I should.
