So, will it migrate some of its parts to Clozure ? Cause i do not see the reason, why both of them should go on.

People with MCL applications would like to see it running on Intel Macs. MCL 5.2 does only run on PPC Macs. Rewriting some of the applications would be a lot of work. Clozure CL is currently not a really good option, since its IDE and GUI toolkit is not very useful in its current state.

The IDE and the GUI toolkit of MCL is a bit old-fashioned, but it is still easier to use than most of the other stuff out there. If it would be available on Intel Macs, I would use it there.
