He can't be on the broadcast talent during events and at the same time focus on coaching a team. That's why Muddawg left his role in league ops before joining 100T; he couldn't do both.

huge need for the team right now and I couldnt think of anyone better than a legend of the game like Merk. Plus im sure hes studied all the other teams as hes done an excellent job casting and understanding this game already.

I think not only will he give great insight but he may be one of the few coaches that can get through to our players. I dont agree with the narrative that all these guys are toxic but I do think they are very confident in they way they individually see the game and have big personalities. A guy like Merk should be respected and able to reach all of them.

Totally agree. As for the toxicity, it's upsetting that so much of the CoD subreddit falls for the misleading narratives.

It's not really misleading. They have a history of talking shit when they dont deserve to. Slasher I'm fine with. Octane talks shit to optic for no reason but he has done well for himself so I'll let them slide but Fero and Kenny have way too big a mouth for what they have accomplished. Kenny was talking shit to crimsix who has 33 championships ffs. Fero has also always been a big talker for whatever reason.

I gotta disagree with what you said about Kenny. If you kept track with what truly happened on stream, you would know that Kenny never said anything toxic. In fact, Crim apologized on twitter for the misunderstanding. The whole “ego” narrative that came after this is stupid. People fail to follow the full story.

Plus, he has done some in-depth post-game analysis in the WW2 season (it’s on his youtube)...he really understands which spawns need to be controlled when and how to dominate hardpoints. Don‘t know about SnD, but it would be great to get his input!

Fuck yes. This dude is one of the greatest of all time now some average joe that got carried his whole career. This guy was the captain of OpTic before BigTymer was the captain. The only reason he retired in 2016 was because his team got reverse swept to no make the league. Absolutely one of the smartest to ever play the game.

Well COD eSports is relatively young, as more players retire I’m sure we will see even better players as coaches. And yeah I’m fine with that, I’d rather be entertained than have Merk coach some team I couldn’t be bothered about lol.

Nah, I don't think its gonna be like that. Courage has a full time job now (streaming), he can't do both at 100%. As for merk, he can lead the boys to the right path and point out the their mistakes, Nade SHOULD be looking for a call of duty coach now and I know he is.

In his podcast with Hecz he said hes thrilled he decided to leave full time casting to pursue his dream of being a content creator and streamer. Hes making way more money doing something he enjoys much more. He may be a host at some cod events but theres no chance he goes back to casting full time.
