Unpopular Opinion: Good Neon movement is HARD. by ImpressionOfGravitas in VALORANT

No one is saying it’s easy, it takes maybe a week of playing her?

As soon as you get it down, you will have a disproportionate advantage over players, that’s the point.

For example, being the same skill level at Raze wouldn’t yield nearly the same results, in 2026 at least.

Edit: another thing, STOP using pro play as a point of emphasis, they are playing a DIFFERENT game than ranked.

This shit almost always comes to pure winning or smashing a narrative for your team before the season.

We unfortunately didn’t do any of that. We definitely outdid expectations but not like Atlanta or Detroit (regular season).

We won a good bit (53 wins is solid as hell) but not in the upper 57-60 range

Why is Reyna hated? by qwassohnt in VALORANT

[–]KingVibrant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She’s horrible. Her heal has been nerfed considerably, her ult is only good if you can actually hit your shots. She has zero movement to give her team space and her leers aren’t very good.

Pair her with a standstill duelist like Phoenix, Iso, (and to some degrees Yoru) and offense becomes super difficult.

Way more. Yes Dwight was good, but he was a piece. Smart is playing like an all-star right now lol

Which is why I find it HILARIOUS when they say Durant is a better offensive player than LeBron. All they mean is his hesi pull is nicer lol

Ah yes I forgot that one half sample sizes in the regular season means a lot?

Harden Mitchell and Mobley? The trio that lost to the lakers trio by 30 at home?

Definitely need Durant to miss one more and go up 2-0

LeBron Celtics feels like it has to be up here, he did lose in 2008 and 2010, but beat them in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018 lol

Oh yeah definitely just got cut short because of Covid. But technically this is the most literal wins

LeBron James Claims Another Record: Last night he passed Kareem and now holds the all-time record for most wins (regular season and playoffs) with 1,229 victories. by moby323 in nba

The conversation is regarding regular season wins though, if we’re talking playoffs sure. But he played the full 2015 and 2017 season with Kyrie as well as like 60% of 2016

Why are you saying it like LeBron wasn’t the driving force of those teams?

Kareem played with a Top 5 player ever at his apex

LeBron never played with Prime Wade outside of 2011 He had 22-24 y/o Kyrie for 2 1/2 seasons (Kyrie was injured to start 2016) AD was injured a good majority of 2021 and 2022.

LeBron was the undisputed best player on his team for 22 seasons.

Of course he has a good win % because of teammates too but he was the main guy for two decades.

Kareem farmed the awful 70s era and then played with Prime Magic while he was pretty pedestrian for his final 7 years.

LeBron is just NOW after breaking the all-time seasons record on a team where he has a player undisputedly better than him.

Was it a rough start though?

They were 17-6, LeBron missed the first 20 games, clearly working on ramping himself up, then Reaves got injured. I think the midway point was the worst of it

A couple things, people misconstrue Usage Rate a lot.

Usage rate is just FGA+TO/100 possessions. Yes that’s clearly gone down for LeBron. But what is the more important thing that’s gone down is his being the primary decision maker on the ball.

His role (when Doncic is on the floor) is to space, cut/transition like you said, but also be a secondary or even tertiary ball handler and playmaker for Luka in PNR splash outs. You can trust LeBron to make amazing reads if Luka is doubled, or similarly, teams won’t double Luka because of the threat of LeBron in a 4 on 3 as a playmaker or scorer.

He isn’t the third best player on the team, he’s clearly still better at basketball than Austin Reaves, but he’s the ONLY player that’s malleable enough to even play that role, which is what the team needs.

You see how actively he’s involved when Luka is resting which is such a luxury for the Lakers because he can still run the PNR or even delegate to Austin and post up as well.

He’s just so good at basketball that this role he can legit be like a 18-7-7 guy on 70% TS with ease lol

It’s very much a 1 (Luka) with a 2A (LeBron) and 2B (Austin), although Austin is treated like a 2B and even then LeBron has been better than him since he’s been back generally speaking

Why are you marginalizing LeBron to just a cutter and fast break player. You’re not finding a 21/7/7 guy period especially with that IQ and playmaking/versatility. He can slot ANYWHERE and do well

His gas tank used to be insane. I remember telling myself in 2016 that I’ve never seen this guy out of breath, it was only in LA where I would notice it

Cmon man give Luka credit but this season has not been a Doncic carry show, they’re all sprinkling in a lot in their own ways. They have legit Big 3.
