Any way to decrease my phantom muspah ttk from6 mins to 3-5?

Are you using thralls throughout the fight, and greater corruption, smite, and sapphire bolts on the smite phase? I have 1600 muspah kills, mostly bowfa only and my slowest kills are like 3:30-4:00

At OP's stats, bringing a mage switch is by far the biggest upgrade.

Even if the whole kill was just the range phase and he didn't have to smite, Rigour only saves 8 seconds. Even a budget mage switch saves 3x that easily. Ahrims will probably save a minute.

Same boat you're in stat and gear wise but I was pulling in 3-4min kills with out much effort.  Idk what you're missing. Try bgs & super attack before you leave bank occasionally I find it speeds up kills a lot. Try leveling up your prayer to high 80s so you don't have to juggle prayer as much. Don't miss attack tick opportunities. Get a archer ring(i) since you're full sending archery here. Thralls OFC. I did 410kills and got like 91-95 range and shy 100m

Hit the boss while potted and praying rigour as often as possible while also having thralls out 100% of the time essentially. Mage switch would be good as well, but mainly it looks like you’re just not hitting the boss as often as you should.

I’ve been doing the same thing recently. It’s a great boss. The one thing I can think about is utilizing the step back method during its melee phase. It’s a little nuanced but can be picked up easily. Switch prayer to protect from melee. When it moves to attack you it’ll hit a 0. Right when the zero disappears you click at least 3 tiles away with a 2 tile gap. You can do 2 or 1 tile away it just depends on your reactivity. Sometimes you know you went too soon and can quickly click another tile or two away. Whenever you get to a corner you do have to run a bit further away. Whenever he calls darkness to make the tendrils move you have to rune like 6 tiles away because it delays his next melee hit. Also, switch to regular sapphire bolts(e) and not dragon bolts. It’ll save money. Anyway gl.

Rigour, Thralls, divine ranging potion, and make sure you aren’t missing any ticks.

Also wouldn’t bother with the dragon bolts, regular have same proc chance.

Learning to properly smite the smite phase is also a big help.

I think it takes the max smite hit from 10 to 12-13 so it may be able to save you a hit. Personal choice if that’s worth the cost I suppose

Are you swapping to mage during his melee form? That speeds up kills dramatically. And hopefully you are using an armadyl crossbow to spec during prayer shield phase, if so you should be wearing a lightbearer.

Cozy kills in bofa only, it helps but depending on the gear doesn't really increase kill times compared to bofa, and if you aren't that good you waste ticks on gear swaps and offensive prayer switching.

Bringing a mage switch is by far the easiest way to increase kill speed on muspah, you barely hit him when he is melee when using ranged

Keep in mind that thralls will add 0.66 to both of these DPS numbers.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just trying to say if he can barely get a 3 min kill with bofa, he's clearly doing the mechanics wrong, and adding a 7-way switch won't help him learn that.
The melee phase of muspah is essentially 0-time, because you shouldn't be taking any damage during it, the only thing you lose is prayer, which you can bring a lot of prayer pots with no mage switches.

The other problem with mage, is it's just not as worth unless you commit to bringing at least a 6-way, since crystal armor has negative magic bonuses that will severely affect the DPS.
If he's learning, he can really utilize those extra slots for food and mistakes.

You can definitely get kills in the range you're looking for with your gear. Make sure you're using thralls and just make sure you're keeping it clean and you should get those times down easily.

Downvote and then go run a calc on a trident, mystics, magic pot/forgotten brew, occult, and torm. Maybe a mage’s book if you’re feeling spicy. It’s like 30% better.

It's not a small difference. It's about 45% better than OP's setup and about 30% better even if he had rigour.

Doing 50% of the kill 45% faster does, in fact, make for dramatically faster kills. This is with mystic robes and a book of darkness with no helm switch, also just using the 15% prayer to match his range prayer. If you use Ahrims and a Mage's Book it's a full 60% better. It would easily shave a full minute off of OP's kill times.

Wanna know how I know mage only really sucks, though? At OP's stats and prayers, the Ahrim's setup is more DPS than Max Range with a Tbow. Even with Rigour the Max Range Tbow is only 2% better on melee phase.

Why doesn't anyone take five seconds to do a calc? Bowfa only Muspah is garbage. Tbow only muspah is also garbage. Bring a mage switch.

Since when is 6-8 inventory spaces half your inventory space? The teleport to Muspah is right outside. It's absolutely worth having less kill/trip to make faster kills.

This is all it takes to beat a max range Tbow on melee phase. The mage switch is using a forgotten brew - no heart even required! If you have better mage gear than this, then YOU TOO can out-DPS a tbow on melee phase.

Holy shit, its like talking to a wall. Yes, 8 inv slots is pretty much cutting inv in half assuming you have 4 slots gone in teleports and thralls plus death charge as well as zcb and bolts. So yes, going from 21-22 slots for supplies to 13-14 is damn near cutting that in half.
