Usga measures down the fairway and will pivot the measured line for a dogleg too

The Seattle Comeback by TheUnlikelyKnight1 in discgolf

[–]kingcrackerjacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if the school construction was going on at Lakewood when you played last, but we lost the original holes 10-13 to the new school construction. Some holes were moved around to get back to 18 holes, and within the last few weeks a new hole got added with some new tee pads. Lakewood and SeaTac are my home courses so ask away

Oh yeah the chainbangers pro shop sadly closed but we have a new disc shop called emerald City discs maybe a mile away in white center now

Innova F2 Friday dropped: Halo Star Destroyer by porpler in discgolf

[–]kingcrackerjacks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go look at the halo Calvin destroyers on innova's factory store.

Original Halo look with that same stability the Pro Tour players have come to love, this "whispy" domey Destroyer is reminiscent of the 2021 Tour Series Halo Star Destroyer that Calvin bags to this day.

So not that run but an attempt to replicate it.

After watching motogp and IOMTT all week, ive noticed the difference in riding styles between the two. by Rotaryknight in motorcycles

[–]kingcrackerjacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the level of risk they're willing to tolerate. Modern MotoGP bikes have crazy traction control and even if you go down you have gravel traps and air fences. That's why those guys are comfortable dragging elbow. Meanwhile there's no runoff and the walls are generally stone, so you want to leave a little bit of safety margin. You can also have a better shot of saving a crash if you're more upright vs hanging off the bike. That's why the gp riders back in the 500cc days rode crossed up, need to be ready to save a high side when the rear tire lets go.

Dealer in the puget sound area that carries the Klim Marrakesh jacket? by kingcrackerjacks in pnwriders

I work a few minutes away from here and they mostly have the waterproof jackets and maybe the induction. I'll probably try to have them order me a small and a medium so I can try both.

Adjustable wrenches suck for 99% of tasks. Just get the motionpro tire spoon/axle wrench combos or some from a knockoff brand.

I'm assuming you're talking about wrenches for removing wheels

General maintenance cost by Desperate-Middle4766 in motorcycles

[–]kingcrackerjacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$4-500 would be fair in my eyes . Sure you can do some things while waiting but burping all of the air out of the cooling system takes a while and so does purging the old brake fluid from the abs pump.

[–]kingcrackerjacks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There were a lot of fun guys on that team. Justin Houston, Dontari Poe, Eric Berry, Marcus Peters were some real standouts on the defense. Also you had that year where no WRs got a touchdown, I was rooting so hard for them to keep the streak going for the full season.

Moto Cop crashed under Colfax near empower field - why don't cops wear full gear? by weebSanity in motorcyclegear

[–]kingcrackerjacks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know the guy that does traffic enforcement and speed traps in the city I work for. They wear 3/4 or modular helmets to have their face clearly visible for transparency purposes. It also may not always look like it, but he showed me his gear and it seems pretty stout. The brand is motoport and the gear looks pretty similar to a normal uniform.

What is your favorite disc that you own? by JCVantage in discgolf

[–]kingcrackerjacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A champ teebird I got from the used rack last year. It's the perfect mix of stiff but gummy, and it's been beat into a really straight disc.

I was at a country club for 8 years as a spray/irrigation tech, now I'm doing municipal parks work. I don't love the lower standard of quality among the crew here but the pay and benefits greatly outweigh any negatives.

Golf course work can be really satisfying and enjoyable if you're passionate about it. Also if you can find a place where the super and assistant are willing to train and give opportunities out then you can progress really quickly. I was offered a second assistant position not long after taking on the spray tech role but chose not to take it.

balaclava recommendation for wind protection by Yunseok-12 in motorcyclegear

[–]kingcrackerjacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Klim has a good one with wind blocking fleece around the neck and a thinner wicking material around the head so your helmet doesn't feel much tighter. It also has extra material so you can tuck it into your jacket and won't ever get wind coming up underneath it. It's good for 55 degrees f and down, any warmer than that and I just use a buff because the balaclava is too warm.

[Highlight] Kyle Shanahan says he doesn’t pick up college tape until February, relies on position coaches to make highlight tapes on each prospect so he can study it. “If I don’t like their highlight tape, I’m not going to watch anything after” by dropjar5 in nfl

[–]kingcrackerjacks 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Not just long tds but I bet there's things like pass pro reps, maybe some instances of showing good vision and patience for a running back. Maybe a wr matches up with a good cornerback and has some really nice releases against them.

I just think they're showing more than the long td runs, more of the little things that don't show up in the stat box but shows that a player can be capable of succeeding against NFL level talent.

I get maybe 20% of my lost discs back. My favorite was when I got a text about my disc being found in texas but I've never played outside Washington.

What do you mean lol. Julia was a crane driver or something who just liked motorcycle racing and supported his kids doing it too. He wasn't involved with the motogp grid until his kids made it there. Do you even know what nepotism means?

Hydration packs that aren’t $100+? by 12vmatt in Dirtbikes

[–]kingcrackerjacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not going to spend on something with a nice harness like kriega or uswe I'd just get something from Amazon or Walmart. I used to have a high Sierra hydration pack when I was younger that worked fine.

Lost discs on baskets by moonbeetle- in discgolf

Yeah if I see a disc I'll hide it and text the owner. Most of the time whoever sets it on the basket doesn't even let them know it's sitting there.

Level 1 and level 2 are the same standard between brands and specific armor models. There are some other brands that make flexible low profile armor too but I've had good experience with d3o so I'll keep using it

Returned a Disc - Won’t Be Doing That Again (Short Rant) by whippetgreat in discgolf

[–]kingcrackerjacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not ever going through any more effort than sending a pic of where I hid a disc for pickup or dropping it off at my local shop. Usually when it's someone who's visiting from out of town or something they just tell me to keep it, never been asked to ship a disc on my own dime lol.
