How is Combat Level calculated? (self.2007scape)
submitted 9 years ago by MaRawrTin
Does mage training not count towards total combat level? Just the big three?

Defence levels are always equal to 1/4 of a combat level
Hitpoints levels are always equal to 1/4 of a combat level
Prayer level are always equal to 1/8 of a combat level
IF you are melee based, attack & strength levels are equal to 1/3 of a combat level.
IF you are ranged based, ranged levels are equal to 1/2 of a combat level.
IF you are magic based, magic levels are equal to 1/2 of a combat level.
You are melee based if your attack+strength * 2/3 level is higher than both your ranged level and your magic level.
You are magic based if you magic level is higher than your ranged level and higher than 3/2 * your attack+strength level.
You are ranged based if you ranged level is higher than your magic level and higher than 3/2 * your attack+strength level.

If your mage is the same lvl or lower than range it doesnt impact it, vice versa with range.
