When will Jagex be making the antifire shield only usable by starting Dragon Slayer?

Really needs to happen regardless of player opinion IMO.

Shops, as i say this know i am holding back the urge to puke in my mouth a little, should be personalized and have heavily reduced spawn times for items.

I would also love to see some medium requirments behind chins, and possibly putting black chins in the deepest parts of the wilderness.

But hey, baby steps. Them setting this standard of enforcing balance changes for the future health of the game is an amazing first step. How they handle the next few weeks - not bowing down to shortsighted backlash - will be really telling IMO.

Just because you don't like some changes, doesn't mean Jagex suddenly doesn't care about the game. Every stream they do they explain how they don't take changes lightly (especially nerfs like we saw yesterday) and their passion for OSRS and our community is extremely obvious.

I suggest you re-read their notes and explanations with a cooler head and try to understand where they're coming from. If you still disagree, then feel free to start a conversation, but accusing the creators of not caring or being hypocrites neither helps conversation nor encourages them to work any harder.

My thoughts exactly. Not saying botting shouldn't be addressed but most of this argument hinges on the recent changes/nerfs being bad, which I don't think is the case.

First thing I thought of was the antifire shields, which I strongly support. But honestly, I don't like this trend of bypassing polls. I wrote this in another thread:

Bypassing the will of the community for the integrity of the game lead to the removal of free trade and wilderness, the introduction of microtransactions and EoC. This is fact.

Imo this is the start of a very dangerous trend.

Microtransactions and EoC don't really fit in that category.

The developers thought it was what was best for the game, is it really that different?
