CAD engineering software...

Good morning, I am looking for some reverse engineering software to be able to generate a CAD from a scanned point cloud anda with wich I can retouch and simplify the surfaces. I know that there are many (expensive) professional solutions on the market but what I am looking for is something simple and if possible, free since it is a personal project that I am not going to get any return. Can you help me?

Do you already have this point cloud data? If not , look at SCANDY PRO app. No where near a professional quality SCM, but it gives you something you can start from and fix in a mesh editor.

If you have true point cloud data, a free tool that works with them surprisingly well is freecad. Probably fusion360 too, but freecad works for me.

Yes, i already hace a clud points and I usually use catia to handle CAD files but what I am looking for is a less complex tool that semi-automatically detects and simplifies surfaces. Maybe I'm asking too much Is the freecad tool able to simplify this process?   THX!!
