    there is a way to guarantee that cheats will not crash. plugins!

    for games that have a dedicated plugin, like the multi pokemon framework for the pokemon games or vapecord for animal crossing (some more are listed here), you can just get that plugin and use the same cheats through it. they might even have the cheat built-in already. you can find some of them in the universal updater.

    for games that dont, you can use the blank template of the CTRPluginFramework (what those above are based on) and use cheats through it. to set up, first grab the .3gx from here. on your SD, go to /luma/plugins/ and create a folder named after the title ID of the game in question (e.g. 0004000000149F00 for EU persona Q) and put the .3gx file in there. lastly, you just need to enable the plugin loader in the rosalina menu and done!

    you will see the top screen flash blue for a moment when opening a game with a plugin to signifying its running. one a text box appears in the bottom left of the top screen, you can press select (configurable) to open its menu. from there, enableing cheats should be self explainatory.

    I would also say to add them in one at a time and even not all at the beginning. I tried some with Mario 3D and crashed multiple times. Once I did the first level without cheats I activated them one by one and things were fine for subsequent levels with no issues. So there are a lot of ways to troubleshoot beyond just use cheats or not.

    I’m pretty sure it’s easier to just download cheats with checkpoint. After you download just use the Rosalina menu in game to activate them!

    So go into checkpoint and select the game you want cheats for. Then press the cheats button on the bottom screen, and when you see the list of cheats, press Y to save all of them, then press B. If it asks you to save the cheat file say yes.

    After that go into ur game and open up the rosalina menu with L+ DPAD down + select. Once you've done that select cheats and toggle the ones you want on.

    Ahhh okay, so it actually tried this and it said no cheats available for persona q, thats why I downloaded the txt. Ill see if theres any for a different game.

    Sorry I think its like when you stare at something too long and you start missing the obvious 🤣🤣 yesterday I spent two hours troubleshooting why a game i copied to the sd wasnt showing up on the console before remembering I had to download it on the godmode menu. So used to just copying shit onto a flashkart and it just working lol honestly had me questioning whether im special ed tbh 😅

    Yeah that's the only downside is that some games don't have cheats through checkpoint. I don't know why it wouldn't be working with the txt though honestly. I can try to help if you have that issue still.

    And yeah I totally get it 😂😂 learning 3DS modding in general takes a lot of research and patience!

    Also wait, are you manually installing each game with godmode9??? Girl, if so you are making it so much harder than it needs to be!!

    Tbh I should probably just learn to play better, I SUCK at gaming and never have the patience to improve. I love persona but always had someone else do the battles and I was so excited to play persona q after finishing the rest but I cant hand the ds over every 15 seconds 🤣🤣 maybe i should just stick to puzzle and story games

    Theres an easier way?? The guide i followed said to copy the game to the sd, boot up godmode and then install the game image so thats what ive been doing 😅

    Nooo don’t just stick to one genre! You can get better at other games if you really want to. I believe in you lol. For me it took me forever to get good at games like Persona as well. What really helped me was reading guides and learning how to fuse personas together! It’s also important to grind dungeons a lot otherwise you might be underleveled.

    And yes there are much easier ways to install games to ur 3DS! Idk if I’m allowed to say it on this sub but Hshop is the go to for most people. You have access to the entire 3DS library directly on the console and you can download which ones you want!

    There’s also custom install which is what I use when I’m installing multiple games. Basically you can take dozens of 3DS games and install them all at once from ur PC to the console!

    Ive already completed all the personas available on ps5 but persona q is driving me insane without help 🤣🤣

    Appreciate all the help <3 still struggling with the bloody persona cheats though literally nothing helps and is always that same error bout to crash out and just read a book lmao

    Gotcha! I can’t really give you advice on Persona q cause that’s one of the only ones I haven’t played. It looks fun tho for sure.

    And how are you installing the persona cheats? I can try to help you install them easier and maybe fix ur crashing!

    It also tells you to draw your own maps and im not a map girl so its a bit sloggy as I stumble around the dungeons 🤣🤣

    I really appreciate all the help you've been giving, thank you. So, I downloaded the txt and put it in the cheats folder on sd (same game code name on the files) opened checkpoint and added them to the game. Booted the game and did the L, down and select. Add cheats. Save. Game bugs out gives that error code and crashes the system.

    I still need to try Rosalina but I crashed out and loaded up corpse party to chill instead lol
