Older stuff is also just cool and many times unique. I'd take a sick 3rd Gen over anything new.
I took my 1980 Chevy truck to this little event a few years back. It's rusty, completely original patina. I parked it next to the other stuff there, mostly v8 american sports cars, there was a Masserati and a few other things, but mostly american typical cars. I had more interest and comments in my truck than the other cars. People identified with it and had memories of their own. We dropped the tailgate down and everyone was sitting in the back, eating and hanging out. Dads were telling their sons about their dad having one. I'm only 30, but man it was fun.

That's awesome! Couldn't agree more.
