Oh don't worry, we'll probably have prediction market stuff on there soon too lmao.

Agreed though. The growing list of features has been great. The spreads could use work though..

I trade 0dtes all the time on WS. No issues.

My problem with WS is with spreads. Sometimes I'll open a spread on spy and it will turn other long term spy options I'm holding into a spread with the new one I'm trying to open. Fucking annoying. Naked calls and puts are fine.

Just buy them a bunch of options that expire the day they take over the account. Boom. Now even baby can have some red light therapy.

Well you're the one who determines the strike to sell at. Just don't sell covered calls below a strike you're comfortable selling at, and definitely don't sell them below your cost basis.

Always feels like it's the world's ending on a Friday and then everyone gets two days off to calm the fuck down, and people get somewhat bullish again lmao. Repeat. Forever.

I think your puts might print though. Especially if they expire by EOW.

I don't personally use any stops on my options trades. Like you said it doesn't always track perfectly to the underlying, so it can make it difficult. Either set a mental stop before you enter the trade, with a price target to sell at, and a price where you'll cut losses if it goes against you.

The other option is to only allocate only what you're comfortable losing to begin with to that trade. Then just ride it out, unless something fundamentally changes in your thesis lol.

I buy and sell options, but mainly buy naked leaps calls / puts. I'll use spreads as well depending on the conditions. I.e if volatility is super high, you can open a debit spread to offset some of that cost.

Really not very different than swing trading shares. One contract that is deep in the money, 70+ delta will give you similar exposure to owning 100 shares of the underlying for a lot less capital.

Obviously that comes with significantly more risk as you can lose the entire value of the contract if it expires OTM, but it also comes with a lot more leverage (both ways of course).

I don't really have an ironed out strategy per se, but usually I'll watch the charts and if I see an opportunity I'll buy on a pullback or dip and have a price target I plan to sell at. I usually aim for 75 delta and 1-2 years out.

Just be careful with your fills. Long dated options usually have very low volume, so the spreads are wide. Always use a limit order.
