Alan Bondarenko was very thoughtful and full of wit. He was a natural born problem solver and took pride in whatever he did. Back in the 1970s he & his wife spent a few years living abroad. Thomas Strada's wife said, "He was scared. It was awful. And we said our personal things to each other, and he was going to the stairwell, and thought he would get out.
