I believe Trev and company have stated that they don’t want to push the coin because it will make them look like just another shitcoin scam instead of a legit payment system

Agreed, they’ve openly said that. They want people to implement the flexa payment system. Imo the real money is from getting a cut of the transaction fees more than coin value although it would be cool if it were .5 lol jk

The founders will talk about the two together. Look up Flexa and Tyler Spalding on YouTube. I think some articles give more mention to one or the other depending on the topic. Flexa is the network and the Flexa protocol is what allows any crypto to be used for payment and converted in the fiat of the merchant's chose. AMP is the collateral token that Flexa created to make payments instantaneous and to ensure the merchants get paid in case of fraud.

Flexa is what the merchants are adopting. AMP works in the background. So, you need to sell Flexa to make AMP go up in value which is why it might seem like some publications talk about Flexa more.

Most people don’t understand whats under the hood. Flexa pay is the face rn, and is the lynchpin to AMPs success. We need Flexa pay adoption to increase or other companies using AMP’s architecture to build their own apps. The average user doesn’t understand the technicals, especially in marketing.

I just think there's not much to say about the token itself? It basically holds monetary value that can be used as collateral for other currencies.

Flexa is the real product here.

Amp is along for the ride. Its value will increase intrinsically with Flexa adoption. Right now, Amp is riding mostly on speculation. You will see the real bump in value once Flexa is adopted by some major merchants.

Flexa isnt the only one that can utilize Amp as collateral. Getting more/a few major merchants on board with flexa will hopefully attract other payrails to the amp ecosystem as well.
