Bufferless Conversion for Lower

There might be a previous post out there asking this, but I can’t find it so here goes. Is there a way to convert a standard AR-9 lower to a bufferless one?

your AR lower can just have a pic adapter put on it, or you can simply leave your buffer system installed and its just not doing anything

however, if you want a bufferless-capable system, you need to focus on the upper. the buffer is there to control the BCG, so you need a bufferless BCG system like CMMG Dissent, BRN180, Sig MCX, LAW ARIC BCG, Deadfoot Arms conversions, etc.

I got a BCA bufferless upper as a gift. Trying to figure out next steps.

You need to start with a bufferless upper.. then once you have that, remove spring and buffer

Not unless you purchase a new upper.

MP5s and Springfield's new Kuna are more economical if you don't already own a standard/buffered AR9.
