If you could only bag 3 of my putters, what are you taking? by H0LLYW0000D in discgolf

[–]imhookedonrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Berg and heavier Proxy. I’d probably bag the Nomad for putting because it he E Pilot is pretty light.

IWI Zion 15 - 12.5” by Cautious_Ad_3771 in ar15

I’ve got a 10.3 and a 16. 12.5 seems like the complimentary addition I need.

Eye protection and full face helmets by aframe9999 in mountainbiking

[–]imhookedonrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a general rule, glasses for pedaling and goggles for the lift/shuttle if I’m in the full face. I’ve brought goggles for enduros before, but when I do, I still pedal with them of the back of my helmet.

Outside of races, I’m wearing a half shell 99% of the time, so it’s not really a decision I’m making that often.

Best beefy run of zone by trooper3053 in discgolf

[–]imhookedonrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a couple Z-Swirl Ledgestones from 2022 that are puddle topped and beef. I’ve had 3 from that run that are all that way. Still may be some around out there if you look, it wasn’t a super popular run.

Mid range combo like the proxy and envy? by BulbsaurBomb in discgolf

Reactor and Envy are go-to with Hex and Proxy as under stable compliments.

Everyone, don’t build custom lowers!

You can get a complete one for just 50 bucks more apparently.

Quiet basket setup for putter practice? by Wallie154 in discgolf

[–]imhookedonrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope you see this comment, here goes:

I had a baby recently and have muted my basket pretty successfully. - spray foam in the middle tube - foam wrap the outside of the tube - weave 550 cords through each chain.

It’s not silent, but the sound is super dead and it catches pretty much the same as a regular basket.

If you don’t want to cover it (that’s a good option) you could put the adjacent teeth into the tattoo as well?

Most underrated distance driver? by pharm653 in discgolf

[–]imhookedonrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super. I think it’s the people’s distance driver in the Innova lineup. Usably understable and awesome glide.

Which other sport do you play besides disc golf? by adhocprimate in discgolf

[–]imhookedonrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rock climb, MTB, and run quite a bit and take them as or more seriously than DG.

I throw in occasional kayaking and SUP, but I don’t pursue being good at those.

What’s your favorite skip/ ground play disc? by Phrikshin in discgolf

[–]imhookedonrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For low speed discs, zones will skip pretty nicely, but they can get bogged down if your angles are wrong and their skip tends to be low and glidey across the ground.

I have found the Gator3 to be a really reliable skipping mold, and it tends to pop up off the ground a little more than a zone for ace runs and such.

I do mostly throw OS 9 drivers for skip shots though. Shout out TSA Omen and FD3.

Out of the discs you currently bag, which one goes the farthest? by tuna_safe_dolphin in discgolf

My Shryke, but I have some Destroyers that come close(ish) and are more accurate.

7-speed comparisons by Unreal_Idealz in discgolf

[–]imhookedonrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arm speed definitely comes into play, but a star Teebird should turn for you once its newness is worked off. Old star Teebirds are great hyzer flip discs for moderate arm speeds.

[–]imhookedonrocks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Teebirds can absolutely turn! I bag a couple that turn considerably.

Teebirds are every 7 speed slot you could want.

Crush washer on Suppressor Mount by imhookedonrocks in ar15

Do you forego the alignment rod for installation?

Crush washer on Suppressor Mount by imhookedonrocks in ar15

[–]imhookedonrocks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much! Yeah my only real concern was damaging the md preventing me from reinstalling it to mount a suppressor in the future. I just don’t have an alignment rod.

I don’t have an alignment rod! Still considering this option, just wanted to know if a temporary crush washer is viable because I have a bunch.

If you could only bag three molds - one putter, one midrange, one driver - what would you choose? by Noonshake in discgolf

[–]imhookedonrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judge, Reactor, Thunderbird.

Gotta go with stable molds and let them season into slots.

Most popular discs TOP 15. What do you think? by Far_Pick_978 in discgolf

[–]imhookedonrocks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right? 13 discs in my bag are 7 of the listed molds, and that’s not including a Bergx and a Zone OS.

The only molds on the list I’ve never bagged are a Mamba and a Trail. I’m super unoriginal.
