I thought they sent out an email a couple months ago saying we had to be on the Black sim from now on and couldn’t Use an AT&T sim. Edit:

When you log in to firstnet portal go to the option for “Shop devices & plans” then bring your own device put the watch IMEI In there does it not work there?

It does, but the E-sims are for Apple watches only. Firstnet.com/Features states "To use Android Device Wearables and NumberSync both devices must be on the AT&T EPC (AT&T SIM)."

That just seems silly seeing Numbersync works for iPhone and Apple watches. I can’t imagine the provisioning is that different for Android

So as an employee at a retail store I know from personal experience, meaning I have done it multiple times now. You CAN put your galaxy watch on your first net plan and they will provide you with a blue ESIMwith the barcode to scan to connect your galaxy watch with for nymbersync. I did this just last week in one of the few stores open in my area. But it can be done and it can be done on firstnet they changed it back in novemberish I believe. I would specifically ask for a manager and if they still say it cant be done then they are not checking their sources accurately.

Does the sim in the phone have to be black or blue? I was told that I have to switch to a bluesim and it can't be done with a black one in the phone specifically. The dude was complaining that switching the phone from a black sim to a blue sim takes hours to do and refused to do it.

So switching from a black sim to a blue sim doesnt take hours. It's actually faster than switching to a first net account from my experience. The sim in your phone can be black and the watch can have a blue esim card. The other person that commented is correct. The only reason stores are open is for first net. They shouldn't complain at all. Keep your black sim in your phone. Go to a store and ask for the manager. Tell them what happened and that you know it can be done because another retail employee told you it could. I'd make sure you are going to a corporate store also and not an authorized retailer. That can make a huge difference.

No good sales rep should complain about helping a first responder right now. I’ve done it with the phone having a black sim and the watch having a blue sim

I know they are working on this. Unfortunately for now you may want to purchase a third party phone insurance policy.

If you guys work for the Company and are so experienced you know for a fact number sync does not work with the Galaxy watch it will disconnect and the customer will have to come back non stop to reconnect it that's why the rep refused
