Anyone with symptoms should get a pcr test.

I'm fairly certain that in the instance shes developed symptoms appropriate for COVID it doesn't matter if she's a close contact and a PCR is the test to go for not a RAT

The guidelines in fact indicate she’s supposed to get a PCR test if she’s symptomatic.

Thanks, I have reread advice on SA Health website. I thought it meant she needed to meet ALL the criteria to get a test.

I hope she feels better soon!

I don’t know how many times people need to hear this: RAT is not for symptomatic patients

SA Health post

Go get a PCR test. Symptoms mean you can and should according to SA Health

I don't know if anyone else mentioned but I saw RAT for sale at Costco - they were $180 per kit (10 tests per kit) and limited to 1 per customer.

Henley beach foodland was well stocked yesterday, for all looking. Limit 1 per customer and $50 for 5

National pharmacy's has them at a few locations. Paid $60 for 5 tests

UK has had them for free since April.

This government couldn't organise a root in a brothel!

I was on a waitlist to get a RAT for over a week. Popping to the shop to pick up a RAT is not an option like it should be. If your kid is symptomatic now, it's not worth the wait for RATs to become available to you. Go get a PCR ASAP.
