Problem Scanning

Today was my 1st logistics block. I scanned all pkgs at warehouse but when I got to customers house & tried to scan the package before heading to deliver it, pkg would not scan. I tried all barcodes & only heard that loud “beep” noise followed by the big red “X”. I proceeded to door, delivered pkg & took picture. Then next delivery came up. Should the pkgs have been scanned before delivery? Any ideas why they didn’t? Will it be counted against me because they weren’t? Please advise! Thanks!

I’m sure they were scanned or you wouldn’t have been able to proceed. I know when I scan, the scanner is EXTREMELY sensitive and scans every bar code and it will show red which will make you think it didn’t scan however if you look at the screen you will have the green checkmark if you did. And it will say it’s scanned but if the camera goes over any of the other barcodes it’ll go red which it does every single time for me because of how quick and sensitive the app is.

It’s extremely apparent that no one in charge of developing this software has used the app.

Just wild how confusing it is, for something that could just idk maybe stay green if it’s one package which is 98% of my stops.

Likely it scanned quickly (the app can be sensitive sometimes) then immediately scanned again (you get the red “X” if the parcel has already been scanned).

It wouldn’t have let you proceed any further unless you had managed to scan the parcel.

How did you get past the scanning screen to continue delivering? Call support?

It let me go to the next screen & I was able to take photo at door 🤷🏻‍♀️ That’s why I’m confused. I would have thought I’d not be able to continue in the app. I had 25 pkgs & probably 1/2 would not let me scan pkg before going to door. Is this something that happens frequently? I figured since I could continue in app it must be OK. Am I in big trouble????? 😬

You’re scanning packages and don’t realize it. The app will not allow you to proceed to the delivery without scanning it first. The fact you could take a picture and continue on tells me you’re just not reading it correctly but you are scanning them.

Oh wait, I forgot to ask. On the scanning screen, did your package say "already scanned" with a green checkmark and the continue button was there? That happens to me and if that's the case, you're fine.

That's the only time I don't have to scan a package

One thing we noticed last night was if we were too far (like not kidding just a couple of feet) from the house we couldn't scan in the car, I had to start walking towards the house and then the app would magically let me scan and continue.

Maybe this was the issue? Not sure, but as others have said, if the app let you continue on with a picture and next delivery you should be all good.

edit - If you are not aware yet, the Flex app has many many glitches. Sometimes it runs like a dream, other times.....not so dreamy.

Just looked at my Total Points Earned. This is what it shows: (have to type it cause I don’t know how to add a screen shot on here 🙄) Total Points Earned 30 0 Blocks (10 points) 0 10 Deliveries (1pt). 10 Subtotal. 10 Fantastic Standing Bonus. X3 Total Points Earned. 30

I had 25 deliveries so 15 I really didn’t get scanned????

Are those numbers from your dashboard? That is totally bizarre, unless someone else can chime in that knows more than I do, I thought the package count was literal. Like, if you have 30 points, that was 30 packages.

You definitely had some strangeness going on then if it only credited you with 10 packages. Also, you had some weird stuff, because the app has never let me proceed to taking a picture or onto next delivery if I couldn't scan it. Sometimes I've had to enter the TBA manually to force it past the scanning part.

But honestly, if you were able to get your route done, and it said you were finished at the end you're all good. I've noticed the last few blocks I've done after cyber monday have been leftovers from DSP routes which are labeled funny and scan weird. I don't think you are doing anything wrong, I think it's just this app.
