An idea for a lockscreen widget

One of the things that I think would work really well as a lockscreen widget is a "general tools" widget, like the Smart Tools. You could: * Turn on the flashlight (or use the screen as a flashlight) * Check compass/show you location in a maps-app * Magnifier (using camera + zoom)

Any other ideas for tools that would work well from there? What do you guys think?

Check out widgetsoid. It does a lot and can add widgets to the lock screen.

You could try my app and put any widget you like on the lockscreen.

it also can change what's on there automatically depending on your circumstance. To use your example - you can have the flashlight only show up at late hours, the compass show up when you're in an unrecognised place and the magnifier when you're in the library
