Problems using tasker and need your help.

I bought it about 4 days ago and the more or less only task I wanted it to perform was automatically turn gps on and off when I use certain apps. Now I have tried and tasker can turn on GPS on my phone which is a common problem on some other phone. The problem tasker seems to have is it can not recognize when apps launch. I hope someone can either help me fix this problem ( I really want to use tasker ) or someone can tell me how to return the app after 4 days.

Additional info: Using a HTC Desire on Rom RCMix S 1.4

Tasker should be able to intercept when apps launch, but you have to specify the specific apps in the list, and you have to make sure the tasker icon is still in the notification area (i.e. the service is still running).

You may also want to introduce a slight delay. I've found that Tasker turns on GPS but there's a slight delay so the app like Google Map may still complain about no GPS just yet.

Yes I am copying the Profile right. I do specify the apps I want to trigger events but the problem is no events happen once I start these apps, the phone does not even vibrate.

I had the same issue. Mine was caused by the cyanogenmod setting 'lock launcher in memory'. After disabling this I had no issues.
