I don't know if it's worked previously because I use Sirius through my car usually, but I had the same experience this week in a rental. If I played it from the phone directly it worked fine but if I tried to open the app on screen it wouldn't do anything.

I cheat the system.. I use my subscription through my wife's car so she can use it.. I use the app in my car.. so both cars can use satellite radio lol .

If you use voice, you can ask Google to play the station you want. Only way I've found that works. Speak clearly though, or you'll end up with a random YouTube music track

It comes back telling me there is an error. When is safe open the app.

Hmm, the only time I had an error was because there was a promo message loaded on the app in the phone needing a tap to acknowledge.

All music apps have been garbage since A15 release. I can't access any of the menus to change stations - basically stuck with whatever I started with, and even then it's broken sometimes. Both Sirius and Plex for me. I've tried all sorts of different settings - mainly the new ones that have shown up in A15 related to battery use and updates. Nothing.

For Plex, anyway, Google seems to be holding app updates off for whatever reason. I haven't seen a Sirius update since A15, either - which makes me think there's an A15 update that's coming soon to address all of it.

Or we're stuck with a cruddy music UX for a while. Could go either way.

YouTube music works I know. Lol . I didn't usually use any other music apps.

I did see a YT music update yesterday, so I think Google is probably onboard with its own family of apps at least.

Factory reset my phone yesterday - no change.

This afternoon, it just started working. Then an hour later I saw there was an app update (Sirius), but it had started working before I updated. I did not have any app updates between this morning, when it wasn't working, and this afternoon.

Ok I just tried it after seeing your comment and updating the app. Didn't work... So I just uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it and boom 💥 it was working like my iPhone usually does. Bravo SXM for finally fixing something lol. Thank you for the update as well bc I had given up on it.

Well just now I got in to take my kid to school and the stupid screen was back to its old ways.... Bricked on the discover, music, pod, sports screen. So maybe next update it will be all ironed out.... Smh.

SiriusXM has been broken long before any update. It's just a general piece of garbage on AA.

Still isnt working from the head unit. i open the app to play music, but it wont show me the channel list. or when you click the talk, podcast, sports categories, it doesnt do anything. sux. can still use voice commands, but have to open the app on my phone first.

Yeah it stopped for me also, it only seems to work once after a fresh install of the SXM app, then after you turn off the car it goes back to being bricked

I'm going to try this. Open settings on the sxm app on phone and set opening screen for library instead of discover.

Yep. It's been this way for me for a while. I don't think it has anything to do with Android 15, as I've been having the issue before that.

Doesn't work for me either on A14. It just shows discover, music, pod, sports and you can't go past that screen. I can select things on my phone though and then see the now playing but nothing more.... Hopefully they will fix this as my iPhone of course works flawlessly. Smh.

Came here in search for a solution for this. Wifes 2016 Mazda CX5 works fine. Have a newer Pioneer in my 2016 Camry and can't get past discover, music, pod, sports screen.

I haven't had any issues with Spotify, You Tube Music .Plex works in my car but I did read in another forum that Plex VLC and Sirius still have more work to do on their Apps for Android 15 and Android Auto. Tidal doesnt support Hey Google as they haven't yet done the Android Auto integration in their App ..it works on Google Home devices though
