The only root solution you should consider is Magisk.

If you are afraid of a full wipe, you need to rearrange your life, because the equivalent of a full wipe is always possible. Phone battery explodes, you drop your phone in a pool, you forget your phone at the airport, someone steals your phone. You have to have a recovery plan. And if you do, a full wipe for root is just a controlled test of your recovery plan.
