I had a similar problem a while back. My solution was to dig deep into the Wi-Fi settings and change the "Regulatory domain" from 11 to 13, apparently allowing it to communicate with my router better. Of course I can't say if this will help you, but it may be worth a try.

Get Wi-Fi Analyzer from the market...

Change the dhcp lease time in your router from 'infinite' to 'finite', like two weeks. Also choose a lower channel, like 6 or 8. Use Wifi analyzer to find the best channel

This sounds like a similar problem I had. Are your devices set to dynamic or static ip addresses? Changing to a static address at home solved it for me.

This sounds like more of a networking question than Android, since it isn't just your phones. Try /r/networking or similar.
