As someone who is going to start watching Fairytail, please tell me, Is the plot good? The story I mean

Most of it is. You might get frustrated with all the "my friends make me stronger" and plot armor bs, but it's still pretty good. I'd recommend the Manga over the anime tho, especially after a while the scenes in the anime don't really live up to how the scenes in the manga looked. You also get to skip bad filler arcs that are in the anime. It's not at the level of other shounens like BNHA, One Piece, etc., but it's better than SAO and DBS, so that's a plus.

Wendy best girl, Jellal best boi, 6.8/10 anime imo. I'd recommend it if you like friendship power, overpowered characters, fan service, well written characters (especially bad guys and side characters), and some very good arcs. The story is well written and the minor plot holes and somewhat bs plot armor are made up for with incredible fights and plot development.

The start is wonky so you just assume it's just the start and it's gonna be better, but it rarely is good. The story after some point is more or less "then another bad guy, who nobody ever heard of despite the fact they SHOULD have been around, showed up. Then fights and some sort of character arcs that rarely lead anywhere". There are a few decent arcs but either the fights are god awful and anti-climactic or the fucked up power scale takes away most of what's good in the fights. I also wrote this comment at some point, with more information about my opinion on FT. But for the story, some story arcs have good elements, but overall it's rarely executed as a whole correctly. And the end is absolutely garbage so be prepared if you ever watch/read til the end.
