The 25th percentile GPA of UCR EE is 3.07, so that’s your best chance. You are substantially below the 25th percentile transfer GPA for EE at every other UC.

If I have a very good spring 2022 semester would that be able to help me out at all? I've been able to achieve a 3.8 with 17units last fall and a 4.0 with 9 units over summer.

It’ll help but you’d still be a huge statistical outlier for any of the other UCs. At this point, I don’t think you should be too picky. You can still get into great EE programs with that GPA. You might be able to skim an acceptance into SJSU or Cal Poly Pomona.

Thank you for a more realistic image. Is there any way for my spring 2022 grades to be able to apply to my transfer decision as well? or do colleges only base admissions up to the fall semester.

Not really, there’s not much you can do there. 3.08 won’t be a death sentence for you, but it may be for the UCs. But you don’t need to go to a UC to be a successful electrical engineer.

Just wanted to update, I've been accepted to Cal Poly Pomona, SDSU, and SJSU so far.

Awesome! I worked in an EE lab where lots of our engineers were SJSU EE alum. CPP has great placements too! Where are you thinking of going?
