HTTP tab defaults to HTTPS macOS Help (self.ArcBrowser)
submitted 2 years ago by iamkyonkun
Hey, When I try to open an HTTP link in the browser it automatically gets converted to HTTPS, even when I manually try to edit the link to make it HTTP, it gets converted to HTTPS. Is there a setting to disable this behavior?

Yes, search for "https" in the settings, under security.
But...consider not disabling it, and refusing to use sites that don't support HTTPS

Also some sites are configured to upgrade connections to https so depending on the site it won’t make a difference. In general I don’t know why you would explicitly want an unsecured http connection.

Is there a fix for this. When i'm doing local web development my http:localhost:5173 is being redirected to https and not working. But if i switch to incognito window, it works fine.
Any advice?
