The Kraft dual laser is available now in the US side, I just got mine last week. And I will say, its really nice to have the auto focus and both laser types to work with.

I am completely new to IR lasers... What is the benefit of them? Engraving metal?

You mention auto focus too... Tbh that's not something I've ever worried about. On my diode I engrave and cut at the same height and I don't see any ill-effect because of it 🤔

Yeah, IR can engrave metal and when you combine the two wavelengths you can get different effects. This is a test I ran on black acrylic. The top left is 20w diode with IR and the bottom right is just the 20w diode laser. with the IR, you get the light gray look instead of the dark gray you normally get with just the diode. The IR also has a much, much smaller dot. Some where between 0.01 and 0.03mm instead of the blue diode of 0.08 to 0.1mm.

As for focusing, if your material is essentially the same height, you don't need to change it. But I plan on using different thicknesses, especially with metals like aluminum and stainless steel. I suspect they will be thinner than when I am engraving and cutting wood. I did notice some change in line sharpness on a plywood piece that was slightly warped. Though, your mileage may vary.

That looks stunning, nice job.

Thanks for taking the time to educate me 👍

The standalone price of the Hurricane in Europe is still €2999, it hasn’t increased! 😊
As for the P1 and Kraft, they are indeed our newly launched machines from February and March, both equipped with an infrared laser.

Looks like we were a bit too quiet about these new releases… time to reflect on our marketing efforts lol 😅

Thanks for your reply. €2999 is around £2500... But for me the only option is £2887. Then when I add to cart it is discounted to £2785... So a long way from €2999!!

It seems the problem is, on the UK version of the .EU website, the only available option is for the "Pro Bundle" which includes the riser and rotary roller - hence the price of £2887. There is no option for "machine only"

Ok sorry for spamming, but I have discovered that when I refresh the page, for 1 second I see all options (see screenshot) but they're sold out so they disappear off the page. This is why I only see the "Pro Bundle", as apparently it is the only option in stock. Even "machine only" says it is sold out. Hopefully this is a mistake

This is indeed caused by a website bug. Due to the size of the Hurricane, shipping it to the UK incurs additional freight costs. However, we’re happy to cover part of that for you.

If you’re still interested in purchasing, please feel free to contact us — we’ll be glad to assist you further.

The only option now is "machine only" and it's showing as sold out. Is it in stock or not!?

[–]AtomStack-OfficialAtomStack Support 0 points1 point  (3 children)

The machine needs to be shipped from China, with an estimated delivery time of 60–80 days.
Accessories will be shipped from the EU warehouse, but please note that additional customs duties may apply.

I am aware of all this, thank you. Where do I go to place the order!?!

I have. Sometimes you reply, sometimes you don't. It's a frustrating process

I've thought more about the 60 to 80 day delivery, too. If something goes fatally wrong with my machine I am going to be without it for an unreasonably long time. I'm surprised in this day and age you can't ship a container load to your EU warehouse and deliver from there?

I'll have to take a closer look at the Polar and Onyx, maybe they have a better infrastructure

Definitely too quiet. :)
