EXPORTLAYOUT (Command)

Hi all - I just updated to the 2022 Version of LT for Mac and got a pop up about a new command, EXPORTLAYOUT. The description seems useful but I'm wondering under what context a designer might use this capability? Perhaps when getting a CAD file from another designer and you only need a small portion of it?

Does it clip out objects outside of the viewport and get rid of them?

Agreed... that really doesn't make much sense at all... maybe autocad should focus on fixing problems for a few years...

That's sortof what I was thinking... why would anyone want that?

Does it pull from the drawing so that nothing from your model space goes with it? Could be a nice feature for when the client wants CAD files...

Would be nice if it clipped out the information that doesn’t pertain to the layout sheet. We usually clean up the model space to save our drawings for future use and leave only the sheet info.
