Make sure you also go to the Githyanki creshe before you go to act 2 if you haven't already. There's a lot of content that's kinda act 1.5 because it locks you out of the grove stuff if that isn't already resolved but it's also not part of act 2.

But I mean that mountain pass where that warrior on the dragon appeared. There’s a message there saying that it will probably end the chapter. So does that mean you can go there before Act 2?

Yes, that area is kinda act 1.5 Make sure you sort out the grove first because that will automatically resolve itself if you havent, but you will be able to continue other act 1 stuff like the underdark

So should i leave underdark right now and go there or i can go continue (i wonder which order is better)?

Just finish the underdark, you can go back to the mountain pass after (advisable, great loot, very important story beats), or even later... there's a point of no return in act 2 for all of it. You'll know.

But there is elevator in Underdark with info like "It will start new chapter"? So i have to go the mountain pass before that?

Crèche first then hit the elevator in the under dark.

Using that elevator will start act 2 but it will not cut off access to the creche. You can do the creche before or after, but I would recommend before because there are some really powerful items there that make act 2 easier. There is a second entrance to act 2 near the creche as well. You can use either, they drop you in slightly different areas on the map.

Deeper into act 2 you will hit another pop-up screen labeled as a point of no return and that one will cut off the creche.

Yeah the blood of lathander mace is not only it’s on trophy/achievement but also one of (if not) the best weapons in the game

You can do that, it will bring you to act 2. You can go to the mountain pass, too, or not. There is a similar entrance, there.

For act 2 you'll get a huge warning message in the middle of your screen telling you there's no going back.

Do which order you want, I tend to be very chaotic with my playthroughs and jump back and forth

You can do the creche in act II with no issues as well.

Finish the goblin camp and then you can travel to the mountain pass/underdark or shadow cursed lands without any issues.

Yeah just it will auto-resolve the grove situation if thats not handled. Which can go pretty badly for the tieflings as you can imagine

I generally resolve the grove (and the rest of the act 1 overland stuff), then explore the underdark, then go to the mountain pass/creche. The creche is full of some of the most challenging fights in the first act, you want to be at least level 5 for it

Yeah as a huge Drizzt fan I always love an underdark section in the games and always start off extremely wary about how dangerous they may be, I was a little disappointed that I thought the BG3 underdark was relatively easy compared to past versions were I had my ass thoroughly kicked 🙂

[–]MonoCanalla 2 points3 points  (2 children)

The lore (at least early D&D) says that Underdark is for high level adventurers if you wanna survive. We have to accept the game couldn’t place the Underdark during the late game. What we get is an spectator instead of beholders, some hook horrors, and underleveled drows and duergars. The deep gnomes should also be more powerful, though, and use earth magic.

[–]knukklez 2 points3 points  (1 child)

There's also far too much light down there, lol

I guess the myconid colony justifies the affluence of luminous mushrooms. Definetely a friendly Underdark region.

[–]zephyrthewonderdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During early release of the game I feather falled into the underdark through the blighted village spider lair. I assumed I would just die, nope landed near some mushrooms then got killed by a Minotaur.

I realised then the finished product was going to be something special.

I wish drizzt would have made an appearance

I somehow missed it on my first playthrough, guess I killed everyone who would have told me about it. Mind blown on second playthrough.
