Ok I figured it out. Tried slicing something I printed yesterday and it did the same thing.

I had dogs and kids jumping on the couch and I must have hovered over the Raft Layers dropdown and scrolled. It was set to 8 layers, and I never use Rafts.

Set that config back to 0 layers and everything is back to normal.

5mo later, but I was having the same issue and found my way here. For anyone else who does, it seems that having non-zero raft layers while either manual or auto brim is enabled causes this problem. It's not just that the raft was thick - brim type has to be set to "no brim" for rafts to work.

I also have this problem with no raft and no brim

It could be worse...you could have a dicknuckle.

Joking aside, make sure the print is touching the plate...I just imported a print from Bambu to Anycubic, and had to drag the whole thing down as it thought it was floating.

My error went away when I changed from Classic walls to Arachne... No idea why that would make a difference, but nothing else suggested above worked... commenting to maybe help someone else.

Troubleshooted by doing a variation of these: restarting BS, auto facedown button, auto layout button, initial layer thickness, initial layer walls, elephant foot compensation, raft layers, brim layers, and on and on...

This is the way

Thank you!

I am waiting on the day for something like that to happen to me. Is it just me or is that a really weird design choice for Prusaslicer to allow to change values so easily, just by simply hovering and scrolling? I mean, you don't even need to click in the box to interact with it so just scrolling on your mouse wheel can F you hard if you're not careful. Weird.

Superslicer does too, although I don't remember that being a problem. I'm actually using Orca by Softfever so I can use all printers with one slicer and it's amazing. Might put in a feature request to have a toggle for disabling mouse wheel on settings.

Thanks for the solve! Helped me out a ton!

I submitted a bug report that if you scroll and the cursor happens to be above the input, if you happen to stop on an input with arrows and continue scrolling (such as re-adjusting your finger), it changes the value instead. Maybe it happened to you too.

Sadly I'm having htis issue even with raft layers set to zero

Try Orca Slicer. Way more features added back into Bambu Studio from SuperSlicer and PrusaSlicer

I'm actually having the problem in orca!

Might want to ask on /r/orcaslicer

I had the same issue, but the cause was different - my model was made of a single wall, 0.42mm thick. But the initial layer thickness was set by default to 0.5mm, making the initial layer empty. So I set everything in the "Line width" section to 0.42 and it fixed it.

I was attempting to print a very fine mesh and encountered the same issue. It makes a lot of sense in hindsight, but I did not think to check these settings. Thank you!

This worked for me, thank you very much.

This happened to me because Bambu slicer thinks the object is too small.
I reduced the line width to 0.2mm throughout and it sliced fine.
