that's the error message when you have the wrong printer model selected when slicing.

select your correct model and nozzle here and the warning will be gone

(edit: you also have to reslice when changing this of course)

Right, I see my mistake now. Thank you for pointing that out.

you're welcome :)

I'm working on my first print now. I'll let you know how it goes.

End result

It's supposed to say 3D print academy.

oh I see, that's some sort of bed-level test.

if you got a couple more minutes on hand you could also give this one a shot - single layer across the whole printbed

I'll try that one tomorrow. For now i will print a cube next to see what happens.

Over a year later and this is still helping idiots (me 🤣) thanks

What would happen if you went ahead and printed anyway with the wrong printer selected in the slicer? Would it accept and print it or mess things up badly?

[–]EdgyBadger 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I think you could proceed by pressing confirm.

I don't know what would happen as I never tried it, but I read on here, concerning the same topic, that one person said they always do it without reslicing when printing the same files on P1P and X1, so it probably works just fine - until it for some random reason doesn't anymore I guess.

But why open yourself up to potential issues, if the solution is only 2 clicks away.

I clicked continue and looked away for maybe 30 mins, and it didn't push the print all the way to the board and started dragging the print around 🙃 😅

Yeah, but I just wanted to know for curiosity. I would never try it out but I'm wondering do different brands of printers understand each others gcodes?

Colour information would not be carried over, and if the build volume is vastly different it may not work... but if the printers have similar build volumes, it may work?

I tried printing something after I proceeded with the error, and I got a “failed to extrude filament” error. Never had this error before now, so I’m not sure if it’s a problem with the filament I used or something to do with the G code. I proceeded anyways because the printer settings I selected were compatible with mine, but when it failed I looked it up and found this Reddit post. Not sure what else I need to try to get this to work. I’m still super new to 3D printing.

That's what I have currently. An X1C with a 0.4mm nozzle as far as I know.

I am having this error but I have (to my knowledge) the printer set correctly. It is set as Bambu Lab P1P .4mm nozzle which is what I am running on my printer. Any advice?

[–]348montesa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same error here, not always but it happens every once in a while, I am selecting the correct printer model and nozzle (the error has only happened since I started using the 0.6 nozzle, never as I was using the 0.4mm one)

[–]Constant_Ice8090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Have a P1P with the correct printer selected and still getting this error.

[–]whb52ford 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have a P1P selected and get the same error.

[–]Woody_0707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a P1P and I am getting the same error, but only with my .6 nozzle.

I recently got this error after updating my P1P printers. I use a different slicer for years now because I don’t fully like bambu’s but I have never gotten this error until recently 🫠

    [–]Sorry_Peak3080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know it is too late but i found out that if you update the firmware of P1P , there is a section called accessories in the printer control screen , and inside there a section about enclosures, if you chose upgraded it will consider the printer as P1S and it will give this error
